About Kara (and Roo)

I have always had a passion for animals, having grown up with two family dogs I recognized how much joy they added to my life. 

Three years ago I adopted Roo, a gangly, awkward, and full of energy Plott Hound. I quickly learned how important adequate exercise is, and saw how happy she was when we were hiking, running, or just exploring new trails together. 

I started Exploration Unleashed as a way to provide that same outlet to other dogs. Giving them a chance to just be dogs; zooming through fields, playing with their pals, and splashing through streams.
